ZipCam Privacy Policy

Last Updated: May 24, 2026

ZipCam ("we", "us", or "our") provides a photo utility app for iPhone and iPad. ZipCam helps you compress photos, batch compress multiple photos, compress to a target size, create passport photos, and geotag photos when you choose to use location-enabled features. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app can access, why that access is needed, and how your data is handled.

1. Information We Collect

ZipCam is designed to process your content primarily on-device. We do not require account sign-up, and we do not ask for personal profile details like your name, phone number, or address.

2. How We Use Information

3. Subscriptions and Billing

ZipCam may offer an auto-renewable subscription ("ZipCam Pro"). Billing is handled by Apple through your App Store account. Subscription terms (price, billing period, and auto-renew behavior) are shown in-app before purchase. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account Settings, and you can use Restore Purchases in the app.

4. Data Sharing and Selling

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your photos with third parties for advertising. Your image processing workflow is intended to remain local to your device unless you explicitly choose to share images yourself.

If optional analytics is enabled, anonymous usage events are processed by our analytics provider (Firebase Analytics by Google) to help us improve app quality and product decisions.

5. Data Storage and Retention

Your photos and most app data remain on your device. Since data is generally stored locally, you control retention by deleting photos from your Photos app or removing app data from your device. If you contact support by email, the information you provide in that communication is retained in your email thread for support follow-up.

If you use ZipCam's in-app saved photos library, those are local saved copies created by ZipCam. Deleting a saved copy in ZipCam does not delete your original photo from Apple Photos.

6. Security

We rely on Apple platform security protections and the permission model built into iOS/iPadOS. You can manage or revoke Camera, Photos, and Location access at any time from your device settings.

Location metadata embedding is optional. If you choose to embed GPS metadata in an exported image, recipients and services that receive that image may be able to read location information from the file.

7. Children’s Privacy

ZipCam is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided personal information to us directly, please contact us so we can review and address the issue.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as features evolve or legal requirements change. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date on this page.
